Beach Sprint / Rowing

Q&A With
Natacha Searson
I’m a 23-year-old Beach Sprint Rower, currently taking a pause in my medical degree to train full time. I started coastal rowing at the Jersey Rowing Club at 14, then at 19 discovered the discipline of beach sprints and fell in love with the racing format.
My biggest sporting achievements to date are winning silver in the Senior Women’s Solo at the Commonwealth Beach Sprint Championships, representing Jersey, and representing Great Britain three times at the World Beach Sprint Finals.
Short term, I want to continue to represent Great Britain at an international level. Long term, with the addition of Beach Sprints to the LA 2028 Olympics, I want to represent Great Britain at the Olympic Games.
I love the community beach sprints has given me, and the ability to push myself in ways I never realised I could.
Support from the LouLou Race Foundation will make a huge impact by taking some of the financial stress away from the costs of competing, including travel, accommodation and entry fees.
