Q&A With
Seaena Sylvester
My main goal for the upcoming season is to be selected for the Island Games. My future ambitions include racing for Jersey in the Commonwealth Games in Australia in 2026.
Local support, including a new bike from Big Maggy’s, has allowed me to stay in the sport and further my triathlon career. The funding received by the LouLou Race Foundation is incredibly generous and will provide so much help, and I am grateful to honour Louise in any way possible.
In 2024, I excelled at the British Triathlon Super Series where I qualified for the A-final, and I also competed at the biannual School Games National Finals at Loughborough University.
It all started in 2015 when Jersey held the Island Games, and I saw the sport for the first time. I did my first triathlon at age 8 for charity, the Vistra Bloodwise Jersey Kids' Triathlon, and I immediately fell in love with the sport. I’m based in Jersey and train with the Jersey Triathlon Academy girls.
