Jersey Wanderers Football Club (JWFC)

Creating opportunities.
building confidence.
backed by the foundation.
Jersey Wanderers Football Club (JWFC) is a community football club based in Jersey that champions youth development, opportunity, and accessibility. With a focus on grassroots participation and building life skills through sport, they’ve become a vital part of the island’s football landscape.
The club runs inclusive sessions for over 100 young players each week, welcoming boys and girls of all abilities. From building basic skills to developing competitive teams, they help players grow on and off the pitch, instilling confidence, teamwork, and discipline.
The Lou Lou Race Foundation began supporting Jersey Wanderers in 2023, helping fund essential kit and equipment for young players across the club. This support has reduced financial pressure on families and ensured that cost isn’t a barrier to getting involved.
Through this partnership, the club has been able to expand access, grow its youth offering, and give more children the chance to experience the power of sport in a safe and supportive environment.
Since receiving support from the foundation, Jersey Wanderers has:
- Kitted out over 100 young players with new kit and equipment
- Continued offering affordable grassroots football to families across the island
- Strengthened its youth programme, building confidence in the next generation
Real stories. Real impact.
“We are already busy planning behind the scenes for another busy season ahead as we look to increase the number of girls within our Minis section, upskill our coaches with football-specific learning, and deliver a community football festival to celebrate the end of another great season.”
