Capturing the Heart of the LouLou Race Foundation

When Peter introduced artist David Renshaw to the LouLou Race Foundation, he asked him to create a painting that would capture the very heart of the charity. For David, it was both an honour and a joy.
At the centre of his vision is Louise, the inspiration behind the foundation. The painting portrays the final stretch of a race, with a figure representing Louise leading the way. Close behind her are children of all ages, captured in their final push towards the finish line.
The scene unfolds on a bright summer’s day, set against a rich green landscape chosen to give the painting a hopeful and uplifting feel. As a final tribute, David included a personal detail: a heart made with hands, a gesture Louise often shared. This simple yet powerful symbol serves as a reminder of the love and encouragement she embodied.
For David, the message goes beyond the canvas:
“I think it is so important to support and encourage our younger generation with their sporting pursuits, and the LouLou Race Foundation provides vital funding to make this possible.”
Through his painting, David has captured not only Louise’s spirit but also the heart of a foundation that continues to inspire and support young people.
