Filip Nowacki’s Winning Streak Continues

There’s no stopping Loulou athlete Filip Nowacki. In August 2025, he made headlines at the World Junior Championships in Otopeni, Romania, storming through the 100m breaststroke prelims with a time of 59.84 seconds. At just 17, he was one of only two swimmers to break the minute mark that morning — proof that he’s not only holding his own against the best in the world, but pushing the standard even higher.

Building Momentum

This standout swim comes hot on the heels of a summer packed with success. In July 2025, Filip travelled to Šamorín for the European Junior Championships, where he produced some of the best performances of his career so far. He powered to gold in the 200m breaststroke, lowering his own European Junior Record to 2:08.32, a time that makes him the fifth-fastest Brit ever over the distance. Not content with just one title, he also struck gold in the 100m breaststroke, hitting a personal best of 59.59 seconds. To round things off, he contributed to Great Britain’s relay victories, finishing the meet with an incredible four titles to his name.

Jersey Pride at the Island Games

Also in July 2025, Filip swapped the international spotlight for the community stage at the Island Games in Orkney. Representing Jersey with trademark grit and determination, he bagged eight gold medals, giving local supporters plenty to celebrate and proving himself a role model for the next generation of island swimmers.

Why It Matters

From smashing records on the European stage to flying the flag for Jersey, Filip’s journey is a reminder of why we do what we do at Loulou Race Foundation. His achievements aren’t just medals and times on a board, they’re moments of inspiration for young athletes watching and dreaming of their own future in sport. We’re incredibly proud to stand behind Filip and support his journey. With so much already achieved this year and even more to come, we can’t wait to see where his determination takes him next.

Help Us Open Pathways

Filip’s story shows the difference the right support can make, and there are so many more young athletes out there with big dreams waiting for their chance. By donating, sponsoring, or offering support beyond funding (such as mentoring, expertise, or opportunities), you can help us open those pathways and give the next generation of athletes the platform they deserve.
